We went to st. Joes during their mourning tour that shared how the family would have mourned the passing of family members. It gave a great insight into a past world. The buildings and grounds are fantastic! Not over the top ‘Gone with the wind’ type homestead but that’s never been the family’s way. Family members continue to staff the home and present tours which makes the experience so much richer. Loved it and you’d be missing out if you skip it because it’s not as grand as other plantations near by. Fantastic experience. Thank you to the lovely ladies who hosted our tour and visit.
